Key Duties and Responsibilities A. Business Development & Client Acquisition ● Identify and prospect potential corporate clients across target industries, including Large Corporates, MSMEs, and sector-specifi c businesses. ● Identify engagement opportunities with companies in various industrial sectors to convert business across multiple insurance lines — Property, Project, Liability, Group Health (GMC), Group Personal Accident (GPA), Marine, Engineering, and other commercial insurance products. ● Build and manage a strong sales funnel to achieve revenue growth, business targets, and overall profi tability.
● Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calls, digital outreach, and participation in business events or industry forums. ● Design and implement effective marketing and sales strategies to promote insurance products and expand market presence. B. Sales Strategy & Presentation ● Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve assigned business goals and increase market penetration. ● Conduct detailed insurance presentations, product demonstrations, and proposal pitches to clients, highlighting coverage benefi ts, competitive advantages, and value propositions. ● Customize insurance solutions as per the client’s risk profi le, business requirements, and industry needs. ● Support clients in selecting appropriate insurance products aligned with regulatory and commercial requirements. ● Convert inquiries into sales through effective communication, negotiation, and consultative selling. C. Client Relationship Management ● Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure renewals, retention, and cross-selling opportunities. ● Conduct regular client engagement meetings, renewal discussions, and policy servicing follow-ups.
● Provide professional advice regarding policy features, terms, benefi ts, and coverage options. ● Assist clients with claims processes and provide end-to-end after-sales support for a smooth service experience. ● Act as a trusted advisor by offering insights on risk management and coverage enhancements. D. Policy Processing & Administration ● Process new policy applications accurately and within the defi ned timeline. ● Prepare, review, and negotiate policy renewals to achieve maximum client retention. ● Maintain complete and confi dential records of proposals, quotations, policy documents, and client communications. ● Ensure compliance with all company procedures and IRDAI regulations in policy documentation and client servicing. ● Submit timely reports on sales activities, renewals, and performance metrics to management. E. Market Research & Intelligence ● Stay updated on market trends, emerging risks, and competitor activities within the corporate insurance segment. ● Analyze business opportunities across new industries, geographies, and client segments for potential acquisition.
● Share market intelligence, client feedback, and competitive insights with management to refi ne sales strategies and product offerings. F. Training, Professional Development & Teamwork ● Participate in product and sales training programs to enhance knowledge of insurance products, selling techniques, and regulatory requirements. ● Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve team goals and contribute to a positive, performance-driven work environment. ● Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, integrity, and adherence to company policies and ethical sales practices. ● Take ownership of individual performance metrics and consistently strive for improvement based on feedback and results. G. Compliance & Reporting ● Ensure all sales and administrative activities adhere to company policies, IRDAI regulations, and compliance standards. ● Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities, client interactions, and policy data. ● Prepare and submit MIS reports, forecasts, and periodic performance reviews to senior management. ● Recommend corrective actions and strategy improvements to meet business targets and enhance productivity.

Qualifi cations ● Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related fi eld. ● Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
