Job Description: Inside Sales Representative Job Title: Inside Sales Representative Department: Industrial Business Unit – Inside Sales Role Purpose:- As part of SKF India’s Industrial Business Unit strategic priorities, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for increasing customer reach and market penetration with a lower cost-to-serve model. The role focuses on acquiring new customers (small OEMs and End Users), generating incremental business, and delivering best-in-class customer experiences. The position will also provide strong support to front-end sales teams, helping expand market coverage and drive growth. Key Responsibilities:- Lead Generation & Prospecting Generate leads using digital and advanced technology tools. Research potential leads through business directories, online platforms, and digital resources. Qualify leads from campaigns, tradeshows, references, and other sources. Customer Engagement & Sales Support Understand customer requirements and offer suitable solutions. Manage databases of prospects and update CRM/Excel records. Conduct timely follow-ups on leads and ensure alignment with order stages. Proactively engage customers throughout the order lifecycle for enhanced experience. Present and deliver product/service information effectively to potential clients. Collaboration & Pipeline Development Work closely with Distributor Sales Teams, Key Account Managers, Product Sales Teams, and channel partners to build strong sales pipelines and secure orders. Support stock verification activities with end customers when required. Operational Excellence Ensure timely addressal of leads and inquiries. Maintain accurate pipeline and order booking data. Continuously improve customer connect and retention through proactive communication. Performance Metrics Number of Calls / Customer Interactions Opportunity Pipeline Development Order Booking Achievement New Customer Acquisition Product Line Order Penetration Core Competencies Strong domain knowledge (market, products, segment, pricing). Team collaboration and cross-functional coordination. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Drive for results with high accountability. Customer-centric mindset with solution-oriented approach. Strong negotiation and persuasion skills. Candidate Profile Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred). Experience: 3–5 years in industrial sales or engineering product sales. Industry Preference: Engineering products, industrial products, or related domains. Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). CRM experience (Salesforce preferred). Personal Attributes: Ability to work independently and within a team. Dynamic, result-oriented, and customer-focused approach. Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
