The Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer shall perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
Cloud Infrastructure and Deployment Management
- Design, maintain, and optimize the client’s Azure cloud infrastructure supporting the company’s technology stack, including React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Azure Functions, and Redis Cache.
- Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency across Development, Staging, UAT, and Production environments.
- Manage cloud resources including compute, networking, storage, databases, capacity planning, and auto-scaling policies across multiple resource groups and environments.
- Collaborate with developers to design efficient and scalable architectures that minimize unnecessary compute usage, storage, and data transfer costs.
DevOps and CI/CD
- Design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate build, test, and release processes.
- Enforce structured, secure, and repeatable deployment practices across all environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates to ensure consistent and automated infrastructure provisioning.
- Work closely with Development and QA teams to support smooth integration, deployment, rollback, and release management.
System Reliability and Security Management
- Implement and manage monitoring and alerting tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana).
- Set up automated alerts for critical performance, availability, and error metrics.
- Lead incident response for system outages or performance degradation, including root cause analysis and documentation.
- Implement best practices in cloud and application security, risk management, and business continuity, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies.
Database and Environment Management
- Manage and monitor PostgreSQL databases to ensure performance, availability, and data integrity.
- Implement, test, and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Support database performance tuning, including query optimization and indexing.
- Ensure secure handling of credentials, secrets, environment variables, and configuration files across environments.
Optimization and Continuous Improvement
- Manage and analyze infrastructure resources and utilization to identify and address inefficiencies in performance and cost.
- Continuously refine CI/CD pipelines to reduce build time and improve reliability.
- Identify manual or repetitive processes and automate them where feasible.
- Research new Azure tools, DevOps practices, and automation frameworks to enhance system efficiency.
Documentation and Collaboration
- Document infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, QA Testers, Business Analysts, and Technical Leads to ensure end-to-end delivery efficiency.
- Participate in sprint planning and release reviews to anticipate infrastructure requirements.
- Provide monthly infrastructure cost insights and recommendations to management for budget control and forecasting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps Engineering, and Infrastructure Administration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Azure Cloud services (App Services, VMs, Storage, PostgreSQL, Load Balancers, etc.) and Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
- Solid scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Familiarity with containerization and monitoring/logging tools (Application Insights, Grafana, etc.).
- Working knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud security policies.
- Experience in PostgreSQL administration, including backup, restore, and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and business acumen.
- Experience in the BPO industry is an advantage.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrates integrity, reliability, professionalism, and sound judgment, especially in complex or uncertain situations.
Work Conditions
- Able and willing to work on the mid shift, night shift, or any other schedule as required.
