Information Technology Support Specialist

Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues faced by ground staff.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.

System Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance of IT systems, ensuring they are operational and up to date.
• Monitor system performance and report any anomalies.

User Assistance:

• Assist ground staff in using IT systems, applications, and devices effectively.
• Provide training on basic troubleshooting techniques and IT policies.

Incident Management:

• Log and document all technical incidents and resolutions for future reference.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as needed.

Asset Management:

• Track and manage IT inventory, including hardware and software licenses.
• Ensure proper documentation of IT assets issued to ground staff.

Compliance:

• Adhere to company IT policies and data security protocols.
• Ensure proper handling of sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.

Required Skills:

• Education: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux & MacOS), and networking concepts.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical users.
• Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on user satisfaction.
• Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to acquire new technical skills and adapt to evolving IT systems.
