IT Support Engineer


We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer (Fresher / Intern) who is eager to kickstart their career in Information Technology. This role is designed for recent graduates or entry-level candidates with foundational knowledge in IT, providing an opportunity to apply learning in a dynamic fintech company. You will assist in delivering effective technical support, gaining hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, and collaborating with experienced professionals.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide basic first-level technical support to employees by responding to queries related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and user accounts under supervision.
  2. Assist in setting up and configuring new workstations, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices for employees.
  3. Support routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, system patches, and antivirus scans.
  4. Help manage and track IT assets and maintain accurate inventory records.
  5. Participate in user account creation, modification, and password management, primarily in GWS and JAMF MDM environments.
  6. Monitor helpdesk tickets and escalate issues to senior engineers as needed, ensuring timely resolution.
  7. Assist in network troubleshooting activities including connectivity problems, VPN setup, and printer configuration.
  8. Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and common solutions for knowledge base improvement.
  9. Support IT team in small projects, such as software deployments, hardware upgrades, and security audits.
  10. Follow company policies and best practices for IT security, data privacy, and compliance.
  11. Participate actively in training and development sessions to build technical skills and product knowledge.


Qualifications

  1. Recent graduate or final year student of Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering(Freshers are encouraged to apply)
  2. Basic understanding of computer hardware components and operating systems (MacOS/Windows/Linux).
  3. Familiarity with IT asset inventory, mac OS, basic networking, and user account management.
  4. Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
  5. Basic understanding of security concepts such as firewalls, antivirus solutions, and patch management is a plus.
  6. Interest in learning scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash is desirable but not mandatory.
  7. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  8. Strong willingness to learn, problem-solving aptitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  9. Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and work under supervision.


Preferred Skills and Attributes

  1. Prior internship experience or academic projects in IT support or related areas is advantageous.
  2. Basic familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow) or willingness to learn.
  3. Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and regulatory compliance environments, especially in fintech, is a bonus.
  4. Certifications like Networking, Microsoft Fundamentals, ITIL or equivalent will be an advantage.
  5. Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to resolving issues and learning new technologies.
