L1 Support Engineer

Location: PAN India

Job Summary:

The L1 Support Engineer will be responsible for providing first-level technical support for banking applications, core banking systems, end-user devices, and related IT infrastructure. The role ensures timely resolution of incidents, adherence to SLAs, and smooth day-to-day IT operations in a secure and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities:

? Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related incidents and service requests (via phone, email, or ticketing system).

? Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, network connectivity, and user access issues.

? Log, categorize, and prioritize all incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.

? Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams as per escalation matrix.

? Monitor critical banking applications and servers to ensure uptime and performance.

? Assist in deployment of patches, antivirus updates, and routine maintenance activities.

? Maintain documentation of issues, solutions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

? Support end users with password resets, printer configuration, and basic application queries.

? Adhere to IT security, compliance, and audit requirements defined by the bank.

? Participate in shift-based or 24x7 support operations if required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

? 02 years of experience in IT helpdesk or application support

? Good communication and customer service skills.

? Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Work Environment:

? On-site at bank branches, data centers, or operations centers.
