Job Description

IT Support Engineer (0–3 Years Experience)

Locations:

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated IT Support Engineer with 0–3 years of experience to support day-to-day IT operations across systems, networks, servers, and cloud environments. The role involves troubleshooting user issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, assisting with security compliance, and supporting business applications. Exposure to automation and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

System & User Support

  • Provide first- and second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Assist with user onboarding, offboarding, and access management (Active Directory, Intune, O365).
  • Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application issues.

Networking & Infrastructure

  • Assist in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Monitor network connectivity and basic security settings.
  • Support VPN, Wi-Fi, and remote access environments.

Server & Application Support

  • Support the maintenance of Windows Servers, Exchange, and SharePoint environments.
  • Assist with backup and recovery operations (Veeam).
  • Handle basic SQL Server tasks such as backups and monitoring.

Cloud & Security

  • Help administer Microsoft 365 (O365, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online).
  • Support Azure services including Intune, Azure AD, Defender, and Azure DevOps.
  • Assist in building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (training will be provided if needed).
  • Contribute to security compliance efforts aligned with CMMC and ISO 27001.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain IT documentation, asset records, and SOPs.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational security policies and compliance standards.
  • Support internal and external IT audits.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
  • Exposure to backup tools like Veeam (optional).
  • Basic understanding of SQL Server.
  • Interest or hands-on exposure to Azure Intune, Azure AD, Defender, and Azure DevOps.

Networking & Security

  • Understanding of VPNs, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VLANs.
  • Awareness of security standards such as ISO 27001 or CMMC (a plus).

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Customer-first and proactive mindset.

Preferred Certifications

(optional but beneficial)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • CompTIA Network+ / Security+
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer (added advantage)
