Information Technology Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to end-users across the organization. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensure optimal workstation performance, and support IT infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second-level support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware.
• Respond to service requests and incidents via ticketing systems, phone, or in-person.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
• Support remote users via VPN and remote desktop tools.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
• Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and escalations.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
• Train users on basic IT tools and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and remote support tools.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills (fluency in English is must).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Microsoft MCP, or ITIL Foundation.
• Experience with macOS and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of ITSM tools like ServiceNow, ME, Jira, or Freshservice.
