About the Role

Office 365 Administrator (L3)

resolving complex issues, optimizing workflows, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance

Key Responsibilities

O365 Administration & Maintenance

• Manage and support

  Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint

  environments, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Handle

  day-to-day BAU activities

  , including user provisioning, license management, access control, and policy enforcement.
• Perform

  system health checks, security audits, and compliance monitoring

  to maintain a robust M365 environment.
• Configure and optimize

  email security (Exchange Online Protection, Defender for Office 365)

  to protect against phishing and malware threats.
• Administer

  Teams governance policies, external sharing settings, and Teams lifecycle management

  .
• Oversee

  SharePoint Online permissions, content migrations, and site administration

  .
• Manage

  OneDrive for Business

  policies, user access, and storage allocation.

L3 Support & Troubleshooting

• Act as an

  escalation point for complex L3 issues

  , providing deep-dive troubleshooting and resolution.
• Analyze

  system logs, error reports, and performance metrics

  to identify and resolve technical problems.
• Collaborate with

  Microsoft Support (Premier / FastTrack)

  for advanced troubleshooting when needed.
• Develop and document

  SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles

  for internal IT teams.

Security, Compliance & Governance

• Implement and enforce

  M365 security best practices

  , including MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, and retention policies.
• Ensure compliance with

  data governance and regulatory requirements

  (GDPR, ISO, SOC, etc.).
• Monitor and manage

  audit logs, SIEM integrations, and security alerts

  from the Microsoft Defender suite.
• Assist in

  incident response and recovery plans

  in case of security breaches or system failures.

Automation & Optimization

• Develop

  PowerShell scripts

  to automate repetitive administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
• Optimize Microsoft 365 configurations to improve

  performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness

  .
• Identify opportunities for

  automation and integration

  with other IT tools and services.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5-10 years

PowerShell scripting

Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance policies

Azure Active Directory (AAD), Conditional Access, and Identity Management

complex L3-level

email security (Defender for O365, ATP, spam filtering, DKIM, DMARC, SPF settings)

Teams administration, guest access policies, and integration with third-party apps

OneDrive and SharePoint Online administration, permission models, and data migrations

problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills

✔️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

MS-100, MS-101, AZ-104, or equivalent

hybrid Exchange and SharePoint environments
