Charuvi Design Labs (CDL) is a leading animation and filmmaking studio known for its high-quality 3D content across films, OTT platforms, VR/AR, immersive experiences, and art installations. Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to lead and oversee the human resources functions at our studio. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices within creative and project-based environments and will play a key role in building a high-performing, motivated, and collaborative team culture.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Talent Acquisition:
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment across creative, technical, and production roles.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs and timelines.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline through colleges, industry connections, and platforms.


  • HR Operations:
  • Manage HR policies, employee records, offer letters, contracts, and compliance.
  • Lead the onboarding and exit processes.
  • Handle employee queries and resolve concerns proactively.


  • Performance Management & Training:
  • Implement and monitor performance review systems (quarterly/annual).
  • Identify training needs and facilitate skill enhancement programs.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning.


  • Employee Engagement & Culture:
  • Design and execute initiatives to foster a positive studio culture.
  • Organize team-building activities, wellness programs, and studio events.
  • Encourage open communication and creative freedom.


  • Policy & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with studio-specific policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive information.
  • Update and implement HR handbooks and standard operating procedures.


  • Payroll & Benefits:
  • Coordinate with Finance on salary disbursements and benefits management.
  • Oversee attendance, leave management, and statutory benefits (PF, ESI, etc.).


Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, preferably in a creative/media/film/entertainment environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in handling diverse creative teams and freelance talent.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, and Google Workspace.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with managing artists, freelancers, and contract-based staff.
  • Passion for animation, film, or storytelling industries.
  • Exposure to scaling HR operations in growing organizations.
