Description:

The HR Business Partner / HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting the human resources function for our fast-paced IT Service Provider environment. This individual will serve as a key resource for employees and management across various departments, helping to foster a positive, high-performance, and compliant workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating the unique challenges of the IT industry, including rapid growth, specialized talent acquisition, and performance management for technical roles.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Management & Employee Relations (50%)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations as needed.
  • Coach and consult with managers on performance management, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer and support the annual performance review process, ensuring alignment with company goals and compensation strategies.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, retention, and overall job satisfaction.

Recruitment & Onboarding (30%)

  • Collaborate with department heads (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Sales) to understand staffing needs and define technical role requirements.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for non-technical roles and support the Talent Acquisition team for specialized IT roles (e.g., Cloud Engineers, Cybersecurity Analysts).
  • Oversee a seamless and engaging onboarding and offboarding process for all employees.
  • Ensure all recruitment and hiring practices comply with labor laws and company policies.

HR Operations & Compliance (20%)

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation (digital and physical) in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
  • Ensure company policies and practices comply with all relevant federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Assist in the administration of benefits programs (e.g., medical, dental, 401k) and manage the annual open enrollment process.
  • Develop and deliver HR-related training to employees and managers (e.g., harassment prevention, performance management best practices).

Key skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the IT, Technology, or Professional Services sector.
  • Solid knowledge of labor legislation and HR best practices (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO).
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations issues and conducting investigations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.

Preferred

  • HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
  • Experience supporting a geographically dispersed workforce or remote/hybrid teams.
  • Familiarity with the technical landscape and terminology used in an IT Service Provider environment (e.g., MSP, cloud services, service level agreements).
