The role requires your assistance in creating merchandise plans for the category based on insights gained from merchandise mix, historical trends, and future outlook projected by the brand. You will be responsible for analyzing store profiles based on reports, including weeks of stock, merchandise sales blend, and inventory by store grade. Your role will involve ensuring effective in-season management by conducting stock analysis and balancing, markdown management, and monitoring stock vs. sale performance. Additionally, you will be expected to plan the merchandise mix for each store, complete initial product allocation to stores, and manage reserve management based on pre-distribution. Collaboration with the Senior Merchandiser to finalize seasonal assortment plans and size run books will be a crucial aspect of your responsibilities. Monitoring the product line, pricing, and developments of competitor brands will also fall under your purview. It will be your duty to ensure that ageing standards are followed and stock turns are maintained as per the company policy. Margin negotiations, orders, stock distribution, and product selection will require your attention. Monitoring and analyzing both best sellers and slow sellers and taking appropriate actions will be essential. Keeping track of actual sales vs. sales forecasts, inventory checks, forthcoming events, and addressing the replenishment needs of the stores on a day-to-day basis will also be part of your responsibilities.
