Healthcare Recruiter – Role Description

Position Overview

A Healthcare Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing qualified medical and healthcare professionals across hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, home-care organizations, and other healthcare institutions. The role requires strong knowledge of medical job titles, licensing requirements, credential verification, and the unique staffing needs of the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities1. Talent Sourcing & Outreach

  • Source candidates for a wide range of healthcare positions (nurses, doctors, technicians, therapists, pharmacists, etc.).
  • Use multiple channels: job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, databases, medical colleges, nursing councils, and recruitment campaigns.
  • Build a strong pipeline of active and passive healthcare talent.

2. Screening & Shortlisting

  • Conduct initial screenings to evaluate qualifications, certifications, clinical experience, and soft skills.
  • Understand job functions across departments like Emergency, ICU, OT, OPD, Radiology, Laboratory, Home-Care, and Allied Health.
  • Match candidate competencies with client requirements.

3. Credentialing & Compliance

  • Verify healthcare licenses, registrations, Dataflow reports, Prometric results, and experience certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with NABH, JCI, and international standards when required.
  • Coordinate medical tests, background checks, and document verification.

4. Client Coordination

  • Work closely with HR managers, department heads, and hospital administrators to understand staffing needs.
  • Share shortlists, schedule interviews, and coordinate selection processes.
  • Provide weekly progress reports to client hospitals/clinics.

5. Interview & Selection Management

  • Conduct preliminary interviews to assess clinical reasoning and role fit.
  • Arrange technical interviews with medical experts.
  • Handle negotiations on salary, shift patterns, duty hours, and joining dates.

6. Candidate Engagement & Onboarding

  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruitment cycle.
  • Guide them with licensing processes (e.g., DHA, HAAD, MOH, Saudi Commission, Qatar Prometric).
  • Support with pre-joining documentation and orientation.

7. Database Management

  • Maintain an updated database of healthcare professionals segmented by roles, specialties, and experience.
  • Track candidate status from application to placement.

8. Market & Industry Intelligence

  • Stay updated on new healthcare staffing trends, shortages, licensing changes, and demand in GCC, Europe, and India.
  • Build strong relationships with nursing schools, medical colleges, and healthcare training institutes.

Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills

  • Understanding of healthcare job roles and clinical departments.
  • Experience with Dataflow, Prometric, and healthcare licensing.
  • Familiarity with ATS tools, CV sourcing tools, and recruitment pipelines.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
  • Strong relationship management with candidates and clients.
  • Ability to multitask and manage high-volume hiring.
  • Detail-oriented, especially with document verification.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in healthcare recruitment (hospital or agency).
  • Experience recruiting for GCC or international markets preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of successful placements per month.
  • Time-to-fill and quality of candidates hired.
  • Recruitment pipeline strength.
  • Client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Candidate retention within the first 6 months.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
