Role Overview

Head of Sales

Key Responsibilities

Offline Sales (Domestic & International)

  • Lead and manage all offline sales channels:
  • D2R (Direct-to-Retail) program

  • General Trade & Modern Trade

  • Institutional Sales

    (Schools, Colleges, Canteens)
  • HoReCa, Catering, and Airline Collaborations

  • Drive penetration and market share growth across multiple cities and states.
  • Build and expand the

    Distributor & DSE (Direct Sales Executive) network

    .
  • Strategically plan and execute

    export sales

    for countries like New Zealand, Australia, US, UAE, etc.
  • Drive partnerships with international distributors, retail chains, and e-commerce platforms.

Online Sales

  • Own the topline for all digital platforms including:
  • E-commerce (Amazon, Flipkart, Cred, etc.)

  • Quick Commerce (Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit, BigBasket, etc.)

  • International E-commerce Portals

    where Skippi is present or plans to expand.
  • Coordinate with platform account managers and internal teams to improve visibility, traffic, conversion, and repeat purchase rates.
  • Drive digital campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team to boost online sales.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in

    leading sales across diverse channels

    .
  • Excellent understanding of

    P&L, pricing, discounting strategies, margins

    , and

    channel profitability

    .
  • Advanced

    Excel & MIS reporting skills

    – ability to track, analyse and present data meaningfully.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with

    excellent written and verbal communication

  • High ownership, energetic, entrepreneurial attitude – should thrive in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Ability to work across teams and geographies and lead a large sales team.
  • Open to candidates from

    non-FMCG backgrounds

    who have exceptional sales performance track records.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 8–15 years of sales leadership experience.
  • Experience in scaling sales pan-India and/or in global markets.
  • Strong exposure to

    both modern and traditional retail

  • Quick learner, data-savvy, and willing to travel if needed.
  • Must be based in Hyderabad or willing to relocate.
