Job Title


Sales Head – Print Media (Urban & Rural Editions)

Job Purpose


To lead and grow the print media business across urban and rural editions by driving revenue, recovery, market share, and brand visibility, while managing sales teams and executing high-impact branding and activation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Business Development


Achieve assigned revenue targets for urban and rural editions.


Acquire new advertisers and strengthen relationships with existing clients and agencies.


Develop innovative advertising solutions and long-term partnerships.


Recovery & Credit Control


Ensure timely collections and recovery from clients and agencies.


Monitor outstanding payments and credit exposure.


Coordinate with finance to maintain strong cash flow discipline.


Team Management


Lead, mentor, and manage urban and rural sales teams.


Set targets, review performance, and drive productivity.


Conduct regular training and coaching to enhance sales capabilities.


Market Development & Share Growth


Increase market share and advertiser penetration in assigned geography.


Analyze competition, pricing trends, and market opportunities.


Expand presence in untapped advertiser segments and rural markets.


Activations & Branding Initiatives


Plan and execute on-ground activations, roadshows, advertiser meets, and special campaigns.


Lead branding events, exhibitions, fairs, and sponsorship initiatives.


Ensure events deliver measurable revenue and brand impact.


Strategy & Reporting


Prepare sales plans (monthly/quarterly/annual).


Track and report KPIs related to revenue, recovery, team performance, and market share.


Share market insights and recommendations with senior management.

Educational Qualification


Graduate / Post Graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).


Experience


10–15 years of experience in media sales or related industries.


Minimum 3–5 years in a senior leadership or team-handling role.


Exposure to urban and rural advertising markets preferred.
