Job Summary
The IT Sales Head will be responsible for driving revenue growth by leading sales strategy, acquiring new clients, and expanding business opportunities for the company’s auction and e-auction technology solutions. This role involves managing enterprise sales, government and corporate accounts, and building long-term partnerships while leading a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership
• Develop and execute sales strategies for auction platforms, e-auction services, and IT-enabled solutions
• Achieve revenue, profitability, and market expansion targets
• Build and manage annual and quarterly sales forecasts
• Identify new markets, verticals, and business opportunities
Business Development
• Acquire new clients including government departments, PSUs, banks, corporates, and private enterprises
• Lead end-to-end sales cycles: lead generation, pitching, proposal submission, negotiations, and closures
• Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders related to auction and IT services
• Develop strategic alliances and channel partnerships
Client Relationship Management
• Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers
• Understand client requirements and propose customized auction solutions
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and pre-sales teams
• Set individual targets and monitor performance
• Conduct regular sales reviews and training sessions
Product & Market Expertise
• Work closely with product, technology, and operations teams
• Stay updated on auction technology trends, compliance requirements, and competitor offerings
• Provide market feedback to enhance platform features and services
Reporting & Compliance
• Prepare MIS reports on sales performance, pipeline, and revenue
• Ensure adherence to company policies, legal, and regulatory guidelines
• Support audits and compliance related to sales contracts
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong expertise in IT sales, enterprise sales, and solution selling
• Knowledge of auction processes, e-procurement, or marketplace platforms
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
• Proven leadership and team management abilities
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking
• Ability to manage complex sales cycles and high-value deals
