Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop motor control hardware for various EV applications, ensuring seamless hardware-software integration in collaboration with our firmware and software teams.

Skill Required:

• Power electronics design (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC/GaN devices)

• Gate driver circuit design & protection techniques

• Proficiency with simulation tools for hardware design verification.

• Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems

• Experience with Altium Designer or similar PCB design software

• Computer Skills

Ø Advanced: Altium or equivalent PCB design tool

Ø Microsoft Office Tools

Ø Simulation tools like Matlab/Simulink PSpice

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development

Create schematics, select components, and design PCB layouts for high-efficiency motor controllers (BLDC,

PMSM)

• Power Electronics Engineering

Develop and optimize power stages, gate drivers, and protection circuits for high-current, high-voltage systems.

• System Integration

Collaborate with firmware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of control algorithms with hardware.

• Testing & Validation

Perform bench testing, debugging, and validation of prototypes under real-world load conditions.

• Compliance & Standards

Ensure designs meet EMC/EMI, thermal, and automotive/industrial safety standards.

• Simulation & Analysis

Use simulation tools (SPICE, PLECS, PSIM) for pre-layout validation and performance optimization.

• Prototyping and trouble shooting

Support prototype assembly, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.

• Documentation

Maintain BOMs, test reports, and design documentation for manufacturing and certification.

• Cross functional Support

Work closely with mechanical, battery, and vehicle integration teams to ensure overall system performance

• PCB Design Tools (Altium Designer)

• MS Excel, Google Sheets, Email, and file-sharing platforms

• Oscilloscopes, Power Analyzers and Logic Analyzers

• EMI/EMC test equipment & Spectrum analyzers
