What You'll Do The People Digital Product Portfolio is the largest & most dynamic product portfolio within BCG’s Digital Products Organization. We enable the global technology for BCG’s entire People Function including Recruiting; Talent Management (Staffing, Mobility, & Career Development); L&D and Core HR (including Workday, Compensation, Benefits). Over the past two years, the People Digital Product Portfolio has more than doubled in size, and there is more growth to come. With this growth comes new opportunities, including the quality engineer role in a Compensation squad focused on delivering our annual bonuses. This role will be part of a larger HR transformation project to develop our compensation and benefits digital capabilities. Long-term, this role will be part of a growing suite of compensation data products focused on enabling our People functions. Global IT Quality Engineer Senior Specialist will be responsible for understanding and building expertise on HR Application(s) functionality. The main responsibilities for this position are to design, create, execute and update test cases; log defects with proper documentation; plan and prioritize daily test execution and to provide help in making and adhering to testing related processes. Understand business requirement and scenarios Create and execute manual test cases and automate the same for regression testing. Should be flexible to work on Manual/Functional testing as and when required Collaborate with Development Team, Business Analysts and Service owners to achieve business objectives. Act as a QA contact for respective application(s) for providing testing support Develop detail functional understanding of the Application(s) Work with the various Development functions to track, manage and help implement application changes either in the form of support fixes or system improvements / enhancements. Responsible for determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications What You'll Bring Education Bachelor’s degree in IT/Electronics/Computer Science Experience 5+ years of experience in Testing/QA (Testing experience of Payroll applications preferred) At least 2 years of experience in Automation Testing using Java or related technologies Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, algorithms, OOPS, and data structure Experience on working with Selenium Hands-on experience in documenting test plans, test cases and test execution. Hands-on experience of testing online/web applications with knowledge of QA best practices Experience in working on Microsoft Office products (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). Experience of working Test management / Defect Management testing tools Specific training or certifications in Quality Assurance is preferred AI knowledge is an added advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Additional info YOU’RE GOOD AT Should have strong knowledge of manual testing & automation development. Experience with Agile methodology and Scaled Agile. Experience working with QA testing framework and tools. Knowledge of JIRA & Zephyr tools Possess good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Testing Life Cycle & Automation test life cycle Good understanding of Java & Automated Testing using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG and Maven. Hands-on Experience in writing Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Execution and Defect reporting Various types of testing – Functional Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing and Regression Testing Able to execute all the test cases and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect Possess knowledge of Testing Artefacts, Testing Deliverables Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to operate with multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team Possess knowledge of at least one defect management tool (preferably Zephyr) Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and managers Experience in working onshore-offshore model is preferred Boston Consulting Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
