Role Description

The General Manager – Sales & Operations will be responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring smooth operational excellence across the hotel. This leadership role will oversee the sales strategy, business development, guest relations, and departmental coordination to achieve profitability and maintain Hotel Ramta Continental’s reputation for quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Management

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase occupancy, banquet bookings, corporate tie-ups, and F&B revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, event organizers, and key accounts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to refine sales tactics.
  • Implement upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize revenue across rooms, restaurants, and banquets.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day hotel operations in coordination with department heads (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Kitchen, Banquets, and Maintenance).
  • Ensure smooth guest experiences, addressing escalated issues promptly.
  • Drive efficiency in processes while maintaining service standards and compliance with policies.
  • Monitor quality control, hygiene, safety, and statutory compliance.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales and operations team to achieve targets.
  • Provide training, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and guest-centric service.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, sales forecasts, and operational expenditure.
  • Analyze performance reports, track KPIs, and present insights to senior management.
  • Identify new revenue streams and partnership opportunities to expand market reach.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven leadership and people management abilities
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and networking skills
  • In-depth understanding of hotel sales, operations, and hospitality industry trends
  • Financial acumen with budgeting and forecasting expertise
  • Customer-focused mindset with service excellence orientation
  • Ability to handle pressure and multitask in a dynamic environment

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA/Graduate in Sales, Marketing, or Hotel Management
  • 8–12 years of experience in hotel sales & operations, with at least 3–5 years in a senior management role
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and operational goals
  • Experience in luxury or upscale hotel brands preferred
