Business Development Manager (BDM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development & Lead Generation
  • Identify and pursue corporate, MICE, leisure, and group business opportunities.
  • Build strategic partnerships with travel agents, online travel platforms, event planners, and local businesses.

• Sales & Promotions

  • Develop and present attractive room and event packages tailored to different client segments.
  • Promote hotel facilities such as banquet halls, restaurants, and conference spaces to drive cross-selling.
• Client Relationship Management
  • Maintain relationships with key accounts to secure repeat business.
  • Manage client inquiries and customize offerings to meet specific requirements.
• Market Research & Analysis
  • Monitor competitors' offerings, rates, and promotions.
  • Advise management on pricing strategies according to demand, seasonality, and market dynamics.
• Coordination & Execution
  • Work closely with front office, reservations, and banquet teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Report on sales performance, conversion rates, and client feedback.
• Hotel-Specific Expertise
  • Be well-acquainted with the hotel’s room plans:
  • EP (European Plan) – Room only
  • CP (Continental Plan) – Room with breakfast
  • MAP (Modified American Plan) – Room with breakfast and one meal (lunch or dinner)
  • AP (American Plan) – All three meals included
  • Understand room categories (Deluxe, Executive, Suite, Family Rooms, etc.) and their features.
  • Create custom packages based on room plans, client budgets, and intended use (e.g., business, family vacations, weddings).
  • Stay updated on rate parity and dynamic pricing strategies across OTAs and direct booking channels.
  • Guide clients toward the most suitable room plan based on their needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business, or Marketing (MBA preferred).
  • Experience:

    Minimum 4 years in hotel sales or business development.
  • Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of hospitality room plans, banquet operations, and event management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking abilities.
  • Proficiency in PMS (Property Management System), CRM tools, and OTA platforms.
