Job Summary:

General Manager – Finance

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations related to revenue, expenses, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual book closing.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting principles
• Manage reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and journal entries.

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, TDS, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants and internal stakeholders for tax assessments, audits, and scrutiny matters.
• Maintain compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws and regulatory frameworks.

Audit & Controls

• Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits.
• Ensure implementation and monitoring of strong internal controls and policies.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and cross-functional teams for audit closures and financial reviews.

Team Leadership & Process Management

• Manage and mentor the finance team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and policies for finance operations.

Other Responsibilities

• Handle multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange exposure, especially in revenue and payables.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in coordination with FP&A or senior leadership.
• Contribute to strategic financial planning, cost control, and profitability analysis.

Candidate Requirements:

• Educational Qualification:

  Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) / MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.

• Experience:

  Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in IT, Telecom, or Service-based industries.

• Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, GST, Direct Taxation.
• Familiarity with multi-currency transactions and reporting.
• Proficiency in Accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation.
