General Manager Finance

We are hiring a seasoned and strategic General Manager - Finance to lead our financial planning, risk management, reporting, and investor relations functions. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in finance, accounting, taxation, compliance, and corporate governance within the IT services sector. This role demands a proactive leader who can drive financial performance, optimize resources, and align financial strategies with long-term business objectives.

Position is based in our Corporate office in Chennai and shal lreport to the CMD.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the companys growth objectives and business priorities
• Provide actionable insights to the Board and the Chairman on financial planning, forecasting, and risk management
• Lead mergers, acquisitions, and investment opportunities, ensuring due diligence and financial viability

Financial Management & Reporting:

• Oversee all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS/Ind AS standards
• Implement robust internal controls and financial governance frameworks

Investor Relations & Compliance:

• Manage relationships with investors, analysts, and regulatory bodies such as SEBI and BSE
• Lead statutory audits, internal audits, and coordinate with tax consultants and external advisors
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance practices and continuous disclosure requirements

Treasury & Risk Management:

• Optimize working capital, cash flow, and banking relationships
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks
• Oversee insurance, hedging, and risk mitigation strategies
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with membership in ICAI
• Minimum 18 years of progressive experience in finance, preferably within the IT services industry
• Experience working in a publicly listed company, preferably on the Bombay Stock Exchange
• Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and compliance
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management, and investor relations
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive change
