About the Role

• Build and maintain financial models, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts (P&L and cashflow).
• Update and track operating indicators and financial metrics.
• Prepare variance analyses to identify and explain variances.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting to UK HQ management for review.
• Ensure cashflow is maintained and improved as the business continues to grow at a fast pace.
• Full control over the monthly Revenue Recognition process in compliance with accounting standards.
• Full control over the financial system (Netsuite) and to assist media and services team with maintaining accurate data within the system.
• Run payroll for all regional offices.
• Implement new and improved procedures for the business to help its growth and operational activities (including bringing onboard new offices).
• Build a solid finance team across the region (inhouse and outsourced) to manage the daily finances.
• Build, design and implement financial controls.
• Manage the year end external audit.
• Liaise with external tax advisers to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Business partner to Regional and Office management on commercial matters including client contracts and pricing of work.
• Ad hoc tasks as required by MD or Global CFO
• The Financial Controller will report to the MD of APJ and have a dotted reporting line to the Global CFO based in London.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration.
• Solid experience within a marketing or media agency, or similar field.
• Previous early-stage start-up experience.
• Experience of using Netsuite
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, complex modelling, budgeting, accounting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Advanced knowledge of accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national/international regulations.
• Strong Excel and software experience.
• Team player, personable with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player.
• Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
• Credible track record of meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
