Role Overview
As
Finance Manager
, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting and financial operations in
India and the US
. You will ensure financial accuracy, manage tax compliance, handle vendor and payroll reconciliations, and lead reporting across entities. This role requires strong experience in cross-border finance, working with outsourced CA/CPA partners, and managing dual GAAP (Indian & US).
Key Responsibilities
India Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee daily accounting functions in accordance with Indian GAAP
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and ROC compliance
- Liaise with statutory auditors and CAs for year-end audits and tax assessments
- Supervise payroll accounting, expense reimbursements, and vendor payments
- Prepare MIS, cash flow, and fund flow statements for India operations
- Ensure compliance with RBI/SEZ/Transfer Pricing (if applicable)
US Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage bookkeeping and financials under US GAAP, using tools like QuickBooks or Xero
- Coordinate with US CPAs for tax filings, 1099s, state-specific compliance, and audits
- Lead month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, and journal entries
- Maintain AR/AP aging and support US payroll and benefit reconciliations
- Monitor compliance with multi-state tax obligations, WHT, and foreign entity status
Cross-functional Finance Operations
- Manage consolidated reporting across geographies
- Prepare management reports, forecasts, and board presentations
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Operations on financial policy enforcement
- Support automation and process improvements in finance systems
- Ensure full documentation for audit and internal controls
Qualifications
- CA, CPA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent professional degree
- Minimum 5–8 years experience in full-spectrum finance roles (India & US)
- Strong command over Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF, ROC)
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, multi-state tax, and 1099/WHT filing
- Experience with QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or Xero (India & US setups)
- Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and MIS reporting
- Prior experience in a cross-border services or SaaS environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with transfer pricing and intercompany transactions a plus
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for working with global teams
