Role Description

Finance Manager

founder-facing role


Key Responsibilities -


A) Accounting and Reporting

  1. Maintain complete books of accounts (Tally / Zoho Books) and ensure monthly closure.
  2. Prepare and present

    monthly MIS

    :
  • Profit & Loss statement (with contribution margin)
  • Cash flow statement
  • Working capital dashboard
  • Track all vendor advances, receivables, and inventory movements.


B)

  1. Manage

    bank operations

    : initiate vendor payments, payroll, reimbursements.
  2. Maintain

    daily payment tracker

    and support maker-checker payment approvals.
  3. Prepare weekly

    cash flow summaries

    and fund requirement forecasts.


C) Financial Planning

  1. Analyse and forecast

    DSO, DPO, inventory days

    ; suggest ways to optimize cycle.
  2. Create and maintain

    13-week rolling cash flow

    and fund-flow projections.
  3. Support management in

    budgeting and cost planning

    .


D) Compliance & Coordination

  1. Coordinate with

    outsourced CA firm

    for GST, TDS, payroll, and audit filings.
  2. Ensure all statutory payments and documentation are on time.
  3. Maintain digital audit trail for every transaction.


Qualifications -

Education:

Experience:

Skills:

  • Tally Prime or Zoho Books
  • Excel modelling (MIS, projections, WC analysis)
  • Strong understanding of accounting and cash flow fundamentals

Traits:

  • Must be comfortable managing bank logins and payouts, with accountability.
