Finance Manager

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager will oversee all financial activities at the resort, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational efficiency and profitability, while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Planning & Reporting:

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor key financial metrics, track operational costs, and analyze variances.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and assist with periodic forecasting.
• Ensure timely closing of books and submission of financial reports.

Accounting Operations:

• Supervise daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash flow.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform reconciliations.
• Manage inventory controls and fixed asset accounting.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and improve efficiency.

Compliance & Audit:

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, taxes (e.g., GST, TDS), and financial regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and hospitality-specific financial practices.

Cost Control & Revenue Analysis:

• Work with F&B, housekeeping, and operations to monitor cost efficiencies.
• Support the revenue team in tracking income from various sources and suggest revenue enhancement strategies.
• Review pricing, discounts, and promotional impacts on revenue.

Team Management & Coordination:

• Lead and mentor the resort's finance and accounting team.
• Liaise with corporate finance, operations, and ownership on financial matters.
• Oversee vendor payments and maintain healthy vendor relationships.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA, CPA, MBA Finance preferred).
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2–3 years in a hotel/resort setting.
• Proficient in accounting software (Tally, IDS, SAP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in the hospitality industry.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in a standalone resort, remote resort, or luxury property.
• Familiarity with hotel PMS (e.g., Opera, IDS, Cloudbeds) and POS integrations.
• Experience working with corporate finance teams or managing multi-property accounts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
