Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site (located in Bokaro at ESL Vedanta plant site) role for Finance & Accounts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Accounting

o Manage day-to-day accounting activities of the plant.

o Ensure accurate booking of expenses, vendor payments, statutory requirements and inter-unit transactions.

2. Capex Accounting

o Track capital expenditure proposals, approvals, and project progress.

o Ensure proper capitalization of assets and maintain fixed asset registers.

o Monitor ongoing capital projects and coordinate with Project / Maintenance teams for timely closure of assets.

3. Inventory & Stock Audit

o Monitor stock movements and conduct periodic physical stock audits.

o Reconcile differences and ensure proper valuation of inventory.

o Coordinate with production, dispatch, and stores teams to maintain accurate stock records.

4. Statutory & Internal Audits

o Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors during audit cycles.

o Ensure timely submission of audit schedules and closure of audit queries.

o Implement audit recommendations and strengthen internal controls.

5. Taxation & Compliance

o Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other tax filings as applicable.

o Maintain compliance records and support in responding to notices or assessments.

o Keep updated with changes in tax laws relevant to plant operations.

6. Bank Reconciliation

o Perform daily / periodic bank reconciliations.

o Track receivables and payables; manage vendor and customer ledgers.

o Support cash flow planning and funds requirement forecasting.

7. Cash Flow / Financial Control

o Prepare monthly cash flow statements and working capital reports.

o Ensure adequate funds availability for plant operations.

o Identify cost optimization opportunities and support management reviews.

Qualifications

• CA -2014-2020 passout.
• Strong skills in Accounting & Finance.
• Proficiency in Analytical Skills for data interpretation and problem-solving
• Excellent Communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of compliance standards and financial management tools is a plus
