Role Summary

Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of

  SDEs, SDETs, and DevOps engineers

  to deliver impactful products and features.
• Drive design and development of scalable

  backend systems, APIs, and microservices

  , and ensure seamless integration with web and mobile platforms.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and QA to define roadmaps, priorities, and release plans.
• Ensure

  engineering best practices

  across code reviews, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Foster a culture of

  ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement

  .
• Conduct

  1:1s, performance reviews, and career development plans

  for engineers.
• Drive

  hiring, onboarding, and capability building

  within the team.
• Track

  engineering metrics

  (velocity, quality, reliability) to improve delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on architecture, scalability, and timelines.
• Stay hands-on to guide engineers through technical design discussions and reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 8–10 years of total experience, including

  2+ years in engineering leadership or team lead roles

  .
• Strong technical background in

  backend systems (Node.js, Java, or Python)

  and

  cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP)

  .
• Proven experience designing and scaling

  microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems

  .
• Solid understanding of

  frontend integration

  (React/Next.js or similar frameworks).
• Experience managing

  cross-functional engineering teams

  (backend, QA, DevOps).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive

  execution under tight timelines

  while maintaining quality.
• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Prior experience in

  Ecommerce or Health Tech

  platforms.
• Exposure to

  security, compliance, or performance optimization

  at scale.
• Experience in setting up

  platform engineering or DevOps automation
