Role Description :

The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for the design, execution, and commissioning of solar EPC projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, timelines, and quality requirements. The role involves coordination between design, procurement, site execution, and client teams to deliver efficient and safe electrical systems for solar installations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review

  electrical system designs, single line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and cable schedules

  for solar PV projects.
• Conduct

  load calculations, inverter sizing, earthing, lightning protection, and protection system design

  .
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and procurement teams to ensure project alignment.
• Supervise and support

  site execution

  , including installation of electrical panels, cables, transformers, and switchgear.
• Ensure compliance with

  IEC, IS, and CEA standards

  and safety regulations.
• Perform

  inspection, testing, and commissioning

  of electrical systems.
• Prepare

  as-built drawings, test reports, and documentation

  for project handover.
• Support tendering and estimation teams with

  technical inputs, BOQs, and specifications

  .
• Liaise with

  DISCOMs, consultants, and clients

  for approvals and inspections.
• Troubleshoot and resolve

  technical issues

  during execution and O&M phases.

Qualifications & Skills :

• B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering

  (Master’s degree preferred).

• 2–5 years

  of relevant experience in solar EPC / power projects.
• Strong understanding of

  solar PV systems, HT/LT systems, transformers, and grid connectivity

  .
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design tools

  .
• Knowledge of

  IS/IEC codes, MNRE & DISCOM guidelines

  .
• Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
• Ability to handle

  multiple projects and fieldwork

  across locations.

Preferred Attributes :

• Experience in

  Rooftop and Ground-mounted solar projects

  .
• Familiarity with

  SCADA, remote monitoring, and automation systems

  .
• Certification in

  Renewable Energy or Electrical Safety

  will be an advantage.
