Design and develop new products required for the continued growth of product line. Prepare requirements and projects plans for new product development.
Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Design and implement electronic circuits and embedded systems from initial requirements to commercial deployment. This includes schematic design, component selection, and PCB layout design.
- Firmware Development: Develop, optimize, and debug C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers and have experience in Nucleus RTOS or Green Hills RTOC.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous testing (functional, validation, failure analysis) in both laboratory and field settings to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Integration & Support: Work closely with hardware, software, and cross-functional teams (e.g., completions, drilling, production engineers) to ensure seamless integration into larger systems and provide technical support/troubleshooting for field personnel.
- Signal Processing: Define and develop signal measurement and processing algorithms in firmware, often involving data encoding/decoding/compression techniques and digital filters.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Assist field personnel and customers in the use of new products and features.
- Analyze field problem reports and plan remedial action to remedy them as required.
- Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- BE degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics engineering or related technical field.
- 6 to 8 years’ experience in PCB Design, Digital and Analog circuits, power electronics design, understands EMI/EMC compatibility, C & C++ programming as a firmware developer.
- Embedded Systems & RTOS Development Knowledge
- Excellent debugging skills
- Familiarity with communication protocols.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written.
- Willingness to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or related technical field.
Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: <10%
