Job Title: E-Commerce Manager
Department: Marketing / Sales / Digital Operations
Reports To: Managing Director / Head of Marketing / CEO
Job Summary:
The E-Commerce Manager will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing the company’s online sales strategies to drive revenue, enhance customer experience, and strengthen the brand’s digital presence. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end operations of e-commerce platforms, ensuring smooth coordination between marketing, design, logistics, and customer service teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Website & Platform Management
Oversee daily operations of the e-commerce website and marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Shopify, etc.).
Manage product listings, pricing, descriptions, and digital content to ensure brand consistency.
Monitor website performance, loading speed, and functionality; coordinate with tech teams for improvements.
Optimize product pages for SEO and better conversion rates.
2. Online Sales & Marketing
Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to increase online sales and traffic.
Collaborate with marketing teams for social media, Google Ads, email marketing, and influencer campaigns.
Monitor and analyze campaign performance; adjust strategies to achieve sales targets and ROI.
Plan promotions, discount campaigns, and festive sales in coordination with marketing and merchandising teams.
3. Merchandising & Inventory Coordination
Work with the design, production, and inventory teams to ensure product availability online.
Forecast demand based on sales trends and seasonal performance.
Manage stock levels and coordinate with warehouse/logistics for timely dispatch and order fulfillment.
4. Customer Experience
Ensure smooth end-to-end user experience — from browsing to checkout and post-purchase service.
Coordinate with customer support to resolve issues and improve satisfaction metrics.
Monitor reviews and feedback, using insights to enhance products and services.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
Track and report on KPIs: traffic, conversion rate, AOV, CAC, and retention.
Generate weekly/monthly reports on online sales performance.
Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, etc.) to identify improvement areas.
6. Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the e-commerce team including content creators, digital marketers, and coordinators.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and design teams.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Amazon Seller Central, etc.)
Knowledge of digital marketing tools and analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Ads, SEO, SEM, email marketing).
Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
Ability to multitask, plan, and execute under tight timelines.
Creative mindset with commercial awareness.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
2–7 years of experience in e-commerce management or digital marketing.
