Role Overview
The Director – Finance will lead the organization’s financial strategy, governance, investor engagement, budgeting, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.This role is critical in driving long-term value creation, ensuring financial discipline, and representing the company in strategic discussions with investors and board members.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Finance & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s long-term financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Provide financial insights, scenario analysis, and decision support at board and investor levels.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and capital allocation strategies.
- Collaborate with executive management to guide strategic decision-making through financial analysis.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and key financial stakeholders.
- Provide leadership to the finance function, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
2. Investor Relations & Fundraising
- Act as the primary finance representative for investors, private equity firms, venture capitalists, and financial institutions.
- Prepare and present investment decks, financial models, valuation analyses, and performance metrics.
- Manage due diligence processes during fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, or strategic partnerships.
- Ensure transparent, accurate, and timely communication of financial performance, risks, and growth plans to investors.
3. Financial Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee audits, taxation, corporate finance activities, and internal control systems.
- Strengthen enterprise risk management and financial control mechanisms across the organization.
4. Performance Management & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports suitable for investor and board review.
- Monitor KPIs, profitability, cash flows, and working capital efficiency.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Lead the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to drive growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
5. Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Initiatives
- Evaluate inorganic growth opportunities including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances.
- Lead financial due diligence, valuation, negotiations, and post-merger integration planning.
- Support business expansion, restructuring, and transformation initiatives.
6. Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team across accounting, taxation, FP&A, and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to align financial strategy with operational and business goals.

Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 15+ years of demonstrable experience as a Finance Director, CFO, or senior finance leader.
- Strong expertise in corporate finance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
- Ability to translate business objectives into executable financial strategies.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage senior leadership, investors, and external stakeholders.
