CSR - Fundraising

Position Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manager of International Fundraising to lead our efforts in securing funding from diverse sources, including corporations (CSR), foundations, and international grant organizations. This role involves collaboration with internal teams to collect data, develop compelling proposals, and manage donor relationships by ensuring accurate reporting that aligns with donor guidelines. The Manager will play a crucial role in articulating the organization’s mission and impact. Longterm, this position will contribute to our vision of driving substantial educational reforms in India, focusing on enhancing competency-based learning and inclusive practices to improve student outcomes and reduce educational disparities. The Manager will also work globally to strengthen Rupantar’s communication with leading donors.

Key Responsibilities

● Research, Database Management, and Proposal Writing (25%) ○ Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities and maintain a comprehensive database of prospects. ○ Prepare and edit detailed proposals, concept papers, letters of inquiry, presentations, and reports that reflect our mission and impact.○ Collaborate with internal teams (program, finance, and leadership) to gather necessary data and insights for proposals. ○ Ensure proposals align with the interests and priorities of potential funders, including detailed budgets that comply with donor guidelines. ○ Lead the drafting and submission of proposals within established timelines. ○ Review and proofread all written materials to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to application requirements.

● Securing Resource Mobilization (50%) ○ Identify and cultivate relationships with existing and prospective donors to secure funding aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives. ○ Develop and implement tailored engagement strategies for high-value donors, ensuring continuous engagement and communication. ○ Track and analyze fundraising metrics to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies accordingly. ○ Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials that enhance the visibility of Rupantar's initiatives and fundraising campaigns. ○ Conduct presentations and meetings with potential donors, showcasing the organization’s work and funding needs. ○ Actively represent Rupantar at conferences, networking events, and meetings with stakeholders to promote fundraising initiatives.

● Fund Management and Donor Retention (25%) ○ Manage donor relationships to ensure continued support and engagement, fostering long-term partnerships. ○ Assist with post-reporting by collecting programmatic data and metrics required by funders. ○ Track the submission process, including follow-ups and post-submission communications. ○ Maintain a donor dashboard to monitor utilization and provide periodic insights. ○ Ensure timely submission of donor reports according to agreed schedules, and monitor and evaluate the impact of funded projects. ○ Develop and implement donor stewardship plans to maintain long-term relationships and encourage ongoing support.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (social development, liberal arts, economics, communications, etc.). ● Proven experience in international fundraising, proposal writing, grant writing, and resource mobilization (4+ years preferred). ● Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail. ● Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including donors and foundations.● Familiarity with the nonprofit sector, social impact initiatives, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices. ● Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
