We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) with a background in to join the leadership team of our client.
Role Overview: The CHRO will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our human resources function. This position involves significant travel to various locations to ensure the alignment of HR practices across all our offices. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in learning and development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving organisational success through effective human capital management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership: - Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives. - Provide strategic leadership and guidance on HR matters to the executive team and board of directors.
2. Learning and Development: - Oversee the design and implementation of comprehensive learning and development programs. - Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organization.
3. Talent Acquisition and Management: - Lead the talent acquisition process to attract, retain, and develop top talent. - Implement effective performance management systems to drive high performance and employee engagement.
4. Employee Relations and Engagement: - Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee satisfaction and engagement. - Address employee grievances and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
5. Compliance and Risk Management: - Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. - Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate HR-related risks.
6. Compensation and Benefits: - Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs. - Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure the company remains an employer of choice.
7. HR Digitalization: - Drive the digital transformation of HR processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Leverage data analytics to inform HR decision-making and strategy.
8. Travel and Mobility: - Regularly travel to different company locations to ensure consistent implementation of HR strategies and practices. - Address HR-related issues and provide support to regional HR teams.
Qualifications: -
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. - Minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong background in retail or hospitality industry.
Proven experience in learning and development, talent management, and employee engagement.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel extensively and adapt to different cultural environments.
In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
