Our Shopify-based e-commerce platform is built with AI-driven automation, customer segmentation, and seamless integrations to enhance user experience and retention.

Role Overview

As the CTO, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technology stack, ensuring seamless integration of multiple third-party tools, customer data platforms (CDP), AI-driven marketing automation, and advanced customer segmentation techniques. You will lead our headless commerce strategy, optimize for performance, and enhance customer retention through personalized experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a cutting-edge e-commerce tech roadmap aligned with business growth and scalability.
  • Scale and optimize Shopify operations, including headless commerce, integrations, and automation for a seamless shopping experience.
  • Implement AI-driven and API-based automation across order management, logistics, payments, and marketing to drive efficiency.
  • Seamlessly integrate tools like GoKwik, MoEngage, Video Commerce, CleverTap, UniCommerce, Refersion etc. for streamlined operations.
  • Ensure high performance, cybersecurity compliance, and real-time data tracking to maintain platform reliability and security.
  • Technology Strategy & Leadership: Develop and oversee the execution of a technology roadmap that aligns with business objectives.
  • Shopify & E-commerce Optimization: Manage the Shopify platform, optimizing for performance, scalability, and automation.
  • Marketing Technology Stack: Implement and manage tools like Klaviyo, MoEngage, WebEngage, Product Bundles, Nector.ai, and Segment to enhance customer engagement.
  • AI Chatbot & Automation: Develop AI-driven customer interactions with platforms like ZenDesk, Gorgias, Lime Chat and custom chatbots to enhance user experience.
  • Customer Data & Segmentation: Utilize CDP platforms to create dynamic customer profiles, segment audiences, and personalize experiences for improved retention.
  • Customer Retention & Loyalty: Implement data-driven retention strategies, personalized email campaigns, and loyalty programs.
  • Integration & Middleware Management: Manage integrations using Zapier and ensure smooth connectivity between 30+ third-party applications.
  • Leverage analytics, AI, and machine learning to improve customer experience, business efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, engineers, and automation specialists to execute the company’s technology vision.
  • Good knowledge of affiliate marketing and tools for tracking, management, and performance optimization.
    Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a CTO, Head of Technology, or similar leadership role in D2C e-commerce.
  • Hands-on expertise in Shopify, headless commerce, API integrations, and automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing automation tools
  • Understanding of customer retention strategies, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Proficiency in middleware platforms like Zapier for automation and integrations.
  • Experience with data privacy, security, and compliance standards in e-commerce.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, AI personalization, and predictive modeling.
  • Prior experience in the personal care or beauty industry is a plus.
