The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for the efficient operation of the company’s business units and internal processes. The COO works closely with the CEO and other C-suite executives to develop and implement strategic plans, ensure operational excellence, and drive long-term sustainable growth. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with a strong operational background and a proven track record in scaling operations, improving efficiency, and fostering a culture of high performance. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Leadership · Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving the company’s vision, operational strategy, and growth objectives. · Translate strategic plans into actionable goals and lead their execution across all departments. · Lead, mentor, and develop senior management and department heads to build a high-performing leadership team. · Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board of Directors, offering operational insights and recommendations. Operational Management · Oversee the daily operations of the company including production, supply chain, technology, HR, customer success, finance and other key departments. · Develop and implement operational policies, processes, and best practices that improve efficiency and reduce costs. · Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments and ensure alignment with strategic goals. · Lead business continuity planning and risk management across operations. Financial Performance & Cost Management · Develop budgets and forecasts; ensure adherence to financial targets and operational benchmarks. · Identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation, reduce operational expenses, and increase ROI. · Drive margin improvement through operational efficiency and process optimization. Technology & Innovation · Partner with the CTO/technology leaders to leverage technology for business transformation and efficiency. · Identify and implement operational technologies, automation tools, and data analytics platforms to enhance decision-making and scalability. Culture & People Management · Foster a company culture that encourages accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. · Oversee HR and organizational development functions, ensuring effective talent acquisition, retention, and development programs. · Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization. Compliance & Risk Management · Ensure operational compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. · Proactively identify risks across the business and implement mitigation strategies Experience: · 15-20 years of experience in senior operational leadership roles · Proven success in scaling operations in high-growth or complex organizations · Experience managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects · Strong financial acumen and budget management experience Skills & Competencies : · Strategic and analytical thinking · Strong leadership and people management · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · High integrity and ethical judgment · Change management and adaptability · Data-driven decision making Location: Bangalore Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel PAN India as required Availability to join : Immediate to 15 days Show more Show less
