  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure their processes (e.g., sales, purchasing, inventory) are seamlessly integrated with the finance modules of Business Central.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to maximize their use of the system and troubleshoot any financial system issues.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and strategic financial plans.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis and financial performance insights to senior management, explaining deviations from budget and forecast.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, including business cases for new projects, investments, or expansions.
  • Leverage Business Central's reporting capabilities and tools like Power BI to create dynamic dashboards and reports that provide real-time financial visibility.

Risk Management and Internal Controls:

  • Develop, document, and enforce internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Perform regular reviews of financial processes and system controls to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and reconcile all bank accounts, ledgers, and sub-ledgers, ensuring data accuracy and consistency between all financial records.

  • Experience: Proven post-qualification experience in a UK-based accounting role, with a strong understanding of UK financial regulations, tax laws, and GAAP.
  • System Proficiency: In-depth, hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly its financial management modules. Experience with implementation, migration, or significant system configuration is highly desirable.
