Calibration Engineer - Corporate Lab & Light On-Site (CE-CL) Job Description
MARUTI Weightech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Calibration
Engineer to manage the light-weight NABL calibration activities at the Science City Corporate Office and handle necessary external service and on-site visits.
1. Required Qualifications· Education: Diploma or B.E. in Instrumentation,
Mechanical, or a relevant technical certification in Metrology/Calibration.
· Experience: Proven experience (2+ years) in high-precision NABL calibration for laboratory-grade instruments and light weights (e.g., E1, F1, F2 classes).
2. Core ResponsibilitiesA. Corporate Lab Calibration & Production Support (Science City)· Primary Calibration (Light): Perform NABL-accredited calibration for Weights up to 10 kg and high-precision laboratory Balances (Analytical, Micro Balances).
· Weights Production Coordination: Work in line with the Labour responsible for producing high-precision light weights (up to 10 kg) at the Science City location, managing their daily output and quality control before calibration.
· Data Integrity: Accurately measure, record, and document all calibration data, calculating measurement uncertainties in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
· Certificate Handoff: Complete the final calibration data sheet and provide it to the Calibration Lab
Manager for final review and certificate issuance.
B. Inventory & Reporting· Weights Stock Reporting: Periodically
audit and report the stock of uncalibrated and calibrated Weights (up to 10 kg)
kept at the Science City office directly to the Production
Manager - Weights (PM-W) for inventory reconciliation and demand planning.
· Consumables Management: Manage and request the inventory of consumables and small equipment necessary for the Science City Lab's operations.
C. On-Site Service, Compliance & Management· Master Instrument Maintenance: Execute scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) and intermediate checks on all master instruments and reference standards used at the Science City facility to ensure continuous measurement reliability.
· External Calibration (Light): Conduct scheduled on-site calibration services for external clients, specifically targeting high-precision laboratory instruments and light-capacity scales (as arranged by the Sales Manager - NABL).
· Lab Manager Backup: In the absence of the Calibration Lab Manager, take temporary responsibility for managing and controlling NABL Quality Documents (e.g., procedures, calibration records, uncertainty budgets) specific to the Science City scope.
· Compliance & Audits: Assist the Calibration Lab Manager in preparation for internal and external NABL audits concerning the Science City scope of accreditation.
· Facility Maintenance: Ensure the Science City Light Lab maintains strict temperature, humidity, and vibration control standards for high-accuracy work.
Calibration Engineer - Factory & Heavy On-Site (CE-FH) Job Description
MARUTI Weightech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and robust Calibration Engineer to manage the full spectrum of in-house calibration activities at the Odhav Factory and handle all necessary Heavy On-Site calibration and installation services.
1. Required Qualifications· Education: Diploma or B.E. in Instrumentation,
Mechanical, or a relevant technical certification in Metrology/Calibration.
· Experience: Proven experience (2+ years) in NABL-accredited calibration processes, experience handling large weights/weighing systems, and comfortable with frequent on-site visits.
2. Core ResponsibilitiesA. Factory Calibration & Quality Handoff (Odhav)· Primary Calibration (Heavy): Perform NABL-accredited calibration for all products manufactured at the Odhav facility, including Heavy Weights (above 10 kg), Weigh Bridges, and Balances/Scales.
· Process Intake: Receive products along with the mandatory QC Pass Slip and Calibration
Sheet from the respective Production Managers (PM-W/PM-B).
· Data Integrity: Accurately measure, record, and document all calibration data, calculating measurement uncertainties in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
· Certificate Handoff: Complete the final calibration data sheet and provide it to the Calibration Lab
Manager for final review and certificate issuance.
B. On-Site Service & Installation· Installation Support: Work in close coordination with the Production Managers (PM-W/PM-B) to provide technical assistance for the installation and final validation of newly dispatched heavy weighing systems (e.g., weighbridges, large platforms) at customer sites.
· External Calibration: Conduct scheduled on-site calibration services for external clients (as arranged by the Sales Manager - NABL), ensuring all NABL protocols are maintained during travel and execution.
· Service Documentation: Generate clear service reports (Service TKT-IDs) for all installation and on-site calibration work and submit them to the Customer Care Lead.
C. Compliance & Reporting· Master Instrument Maintenance: Execute scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) and intermediate checks on all master instruments and reference standards used at the Odhav facility to ensure continuous measurement reliability.
· Lab Manager Backup: In the absence of the Calibration Lab Manager, take temporary responsibility for managing and controlling NABL Quality Documents (e.g., procedures, calibration records, log books) to maintain audit readiness.
· Lab Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness, environmental control, and organization of the Odhav calibration area, ensuring all reference standards are handled correctly.
· Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to all NABL, ISO, and Legal Metrology requirements during all calibration activities.
· MD/GM Communication: Report any significant calibration failures, system failures, or non-compliance issues immediately to the Calibration Lab Manager and the MD/GM.
