Job Description

Head of Business Development – Co-Living

Role Overview

Lead the growth and strategic expansion of our co-living operations. You’ll define the business development vision, forge partnerships, drive market entry, and steer the success of new co-living projects in dynamic markets.

Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic Leadership:

    Formulate and drive business development strategy for co-living sectors, identifying new markets, geographic expansions, and innovative business models.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence:

    Research co-living and real estate trends, analyze competitors, and shape approach based on findings.


  • Partnerships & Deal Execution:

    Source and evaluate potential properties; negotiate with landlords, developers, and channel partners; oversee deal closure.


  • Revenue & P&L Oversight:

    Manage business budgets, monitor financials, and drive profitability across new projects.


  • Team Leadership & Growth:

    Build, inspire, and mentor the business development team. Track performance and foster a results-driven culture.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Partner with marketing, operations, finance, and product teams to align on acquisitions, branding, and customer satisfaction.


  • Stakeholder Engagement & Representation:

    Present proposals, attend industry events, and represent the company in strategic discussions.


  • Reporting & Analytics:

    Establish KPIs and report regularly on business development initiatives and results.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.


  • Industry Experience:

    8–15+ years in business development or sales leadership roles, ideally within co-living, hospitality, real estate, or flexible living platforms.


  • Track Record:

    Demonstrated success in securing partnerships, closing high-impact deals, and scaling business operations.


  • Skills:

    Strategic thinker, excellent communicator, negotiator, and relationship builder. Analytical, data-driven mindset with strong leadership acumen.


  • Network:

    Existing industry contacts in real estate, co-living operators, developers, or agent networks are a strong advantage.
  • Flexibility:

    Willing to travel as required, especially for market expansion or stakeholder engagement.
