Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue through strategic planning and execution in the events industry. Key Responsibilities • Business Development Strategy : Design and implement growth strategies aligned with the company’s vision and targets. Identify new market segments and create plans to capture them effectively. • Lead Generation & Client Prospecting : Conduct detailed market research to identify leads and new business opportunities. Generate leads through networking, cold outreach, events, and digital channels. • Client Relationship Management : Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients. Understand client objectives and offer tailored event solutions that align with their goals. • Contract Negotiation : Manage the entire sales cycle, including pricing, contract negotiations, and closure while ensuring compliance with internal guidelines. • Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams—creative, marketing, event planning, and operations—to ensure client expectations are exceeded. • Reporting & Revenue Forecasting : Maintain and share detailed reports on sales performance, pipeline development, revenue forecasts, and client acquisition metrics. • Industry Networking : Represent the company at industry forums, exhibitions, and events to build brand awareness and create new business opportunities. • Client Retention & Upselling : Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for upselling additional services and ensuring repeat business. • Market Intelligence : Stay current on market trends, competitor offerings, and evolving client demands to help refine business strategies and event offerings. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field. • 3–4 years of proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the events, marketing, or media industry. • Strong knowledge of event planning processes and client servicing best practices. • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Ability to thrive in a target-driven, fast-paced environment. • Proficient in CRM tools and MS Office Suite. • High energy, self-motivated, and proactive approach.
