Job Title: Business Development Manager – Leather Goods Industry Location: [Kolkata, WB] Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 3–8 years (preferred in leather goods or fashion accessories) Reports To: Director Job Summary: We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead sales growth and strategic expansion in the leather goods industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of premium leather products and a proven track record in B2B sales, market development, and client relationship management. Key Responsibilities: Identify and develop new business opportunities across domestic and international markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers, distributors, and corporate clients. Collaborate with the design and production teams to align product offerings with market trends and customer demands. Conduct market research to identify growth sectors, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities. Prepare business proposals, pricing strategies, and sales presentations. Drive e-commerce partnerships, B2B platforms (like Amazon B2B, Flipkart Wholesale, Nykaa), and offline retail expansion. Represent the brand at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events. Monitor sales metrics and report performance against KPIs. Support digital and performance marketing teams for lead generation. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). 3–8 years of business development or sales experience in leather goods, fashion accessories, or luxury lifestyle products. Strong network in fashion/lifestyle retail, exports, or corporate gifting segments is a plus. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with a target-driven mindset. Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required. Preferred Knowledge: Understanding of leather product manufacturing and quality standards. Familiarity with CRM tools and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Awareness of sustainability trends in leather/faux leather industry. Previous experience with D2C or export clients is advantageous.
