The Opportunity:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth:

    Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to expand India Designer Show's reach and revenue streams across various segments (e.g., fashion, interior design, art, luxury lifestyle).
  • Partnership Building:

    Identify, onboard, and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including renowned designers, luxury brands, corporate sponsors, exhibition partners, media houses, and government bodies.
  • Sales & Revenue Generation:

    Drive sales of exhibition spaces, sponsorship packages, and other event-related services, consistently achieving and exceeding ambitious sales targets.
  • Market Research & Analysis:

    Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and untapped opportunities within the Indian design and events sector.
  • Proposal Development:

    Create compelling and tailored business proposals, presentations, and contracts that clearly articulate the value proposition of India Designer Show's offerings.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying opportunities for repeat business and upselling.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with the marketing, operations, and creative teams to ensure seamless execution of events and integrated business development efforts.
  • Reporting:

    Provide regular, detailed reports on sales pipelines, revenue forecasts, and business development activities to senior management.
  • Representation:

    Represent India Designer Show at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking functions to promote our brand and expand our professional network.

  • What We're Looking For:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is a plus.
    • 3+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar client-facing role within the events, fashion, design, or luxury industry in India.

    • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong understanding of the Indian design and luxury market, including key players, trends, and client needs.
    • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
    • Willingness to travel extensively across India as required for client meetings, events, and networking.
