Role Overview:
The BDM – ATL Sales & Media Buying & Planning is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships in mass media advertising (TV, radio, print, outdoor).
This role combines strategic planning, client engagement, media execution, and campaign performance analysis. The BDM ensures campaigns are effectively planned, executed, and optimized to deliver maximum reach, engagement, and ROI while achieving ambitious revenue targets.
This is a high-visibility role requiring a results-driven professional with strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities (Detailed):
1. Business Development & Sales
Identify, target, and acquire new clients for ATL campaigns.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
Conduct client meetings to understand marketing objectives, brand positioning, and campaign goals.
Pitch tailored, integrated advertising solutions with clear ROI and media rationale.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and deliverables with clients to ensure profitability.
Track competitor activity and market trends to identify new opportunities.
Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets.
2. Media Planning
Develop comprehensive ATL media plans aligned with client objectives, budgets, and audience demographics.
Analyze audience insights, media consumption patterns, and market trends.
Recommend channel mix, placements, and timing to maximize campaign reach and effectiveness.
Coordinate with creative and digital teams to ensure messaging aligns with media strategy.
Continuously optimize media plans based on performance metrics and client feedback.
3. Media Buying & Campaign Execution
Execute approved media plans by purchasing ad space and airtime across platforms.
Negotiate rates and placements with media vendors to maximize ROI.
Manage campaign scheduling, placements, and logistics for timely execution.
Monitor campaign delivery to ensure compliance with quality standards and client expectations.
Troubleshoot operational issues with vendors or internal teams during campaigns.
4. Reporting & Analysis
Track and analyze campaign performance metrics (reach, impressions, engagement, ROI).
Prepare detailed reports for clients on campaign effectiveness, learnings, and optimization suggestions.
Maintain internal dashboards and records of media spend, client feedback, and campaign outcomes.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with creative, digital, and operations teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
Liaise with media vendors, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
Mentor junior team members on media planning, buying, and client handling.
Participate in strategy meetings to enhance service offerings and campaign outcomes.
Targets:Annual Revenue Target: ₹60 Lakhs – ₹1 Crore
Key Requirements / Skills:
3+ years of experience in ATL media sales, media buying, and planning.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Strong knowledge of mass media channels (TV, radio, print, outdoor).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to optimize campaigns for ROI.
Ability to manage multiple clients and campaigns simultaneously.
