Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in the construction and civil engineering domain to drive corporate and government sales for our specialized IT software solutions. This role combines technical domain knowledge with strategic sales skills to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals with construction firms, infrastructure companies, and government departments.


Key Responsibilities:


 Develop and execute business development strategies targeting construction companies, EPC contractors, real estate developers, and government infrastructure bodies.

 Promote and sell IT/software solutions such as construction management software, project tracking tools, ERP, BIM solutions, estimation and tendering platforms, etc.

 Navigate government procurement processes and submit competitive proposals for tenders, RFPs, and bids.

 Leverage existing relationships and industry knowledge to generate leads and build a strong sales pipeline.

 Conduct product demos, presentations, and solution walkthroughs for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 Collaborate with product, tech, and pre-sales teams to customize solutions based on client requirements.  Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to recommend enhancements or new offerings.

 Maintain accurate sales forecasts and update CRM regularly.


Qualifications & Experience:


 Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (MBA or PGDM in Marketing/Sales is a plus).

 Minimum 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or client engagement in the construction, civil infrastructure, or real estate sector.

 At least 2–3 years of experience selling IT/software solutions is highly desirable.

 Deep understanding of the construction industry workflows, project lifecycles, and government infrastructure projects.

 Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

 Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, MS Project, or ERP systems is a plus.

 Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) Preferred Skills:  Strong network within the construction and infrastructure sector, including public works departments, municipal bodies, and private developers.

 Understanding of Smart City initiatives, Digital India, or infrastructure digitization projects.

 Ability to translate technical software features into clear business benefits for civil and construction professionals.
