Job Description

Industry Focus: Hospitals (Healthcare IT); RCM; TPA; Manufacturing; Banking
Role: Business Development Manager
Department: Sales / Pre-Sales / Business Development
Experience: 3–5 Years (as needed)

1. Role Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for understanding business needs of customers, analyzing the scope of software automation, providing appropriate suggestions to customers/ automation developers to optimize the software automation goals.

The Business Analyst must understand each sector’s workflow, operational stages, pain points, and connect them with the company’s software/IT solutions.

Domain Understanding (Very Important)

1. Hospital Workflows/Stages Understanding

BDM must understand:

· Patient Registration & Appointment

· OPD/IPD Flow

· Doctor Consultation

· Nursing Station

· Pharmacy

· Laboratory (LIS)

· Radiology (RIS/PACS)

· Billing & Insurance (TPA)

· Operation Theatre Management

· Inventory & Asset Management

· HR, Finance & Admin

· Hospital compliance & accreditation needs

2. Manufacturing Workflows/Stages Understanding

BDM must understand:

· Procurement & Raw Material Management

· Inventory Management

· Production Planning & Control

· Production Execution (Shop Floor)

· Quality Management

· Packaging & Dispatch

· Warehouse Management (WMS)

· Sales & Distribution

· Machine Maintenance (CMMS)

· Supply Chain Operations

C. Technical & Product Understanding

· Understand company’s IT products (ERP, HIS, CRM, Cloud, SaaS, Mobile Apps, IoT, BI tools)

· Ability to map client requirements to technical solutions

· Work closely with pre-sales and technical teams

· Prepare solution documents, RFP responses, and SOWs

D. Client Relationship Management

· Build and maintain strong corporate relationships

· Understand client pain points, business goals, and challenges

· Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business

· Manage key accounts in hospital and manufacturing sectors

E. Market Research

· Study market trends, competitor products, pricing, and strategies

· Identify industry needs and emerging technology opportunities

· Provide management with regular feedback and sales reports

F. Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain CRM updates, pipeline reports, and sales activity logs

· Prepare weekly/monthly sales forecasts

· Share demo reports, meeting minutes, and client feedback

Skills & Qualifications

Technical/Domain Skills

· Understanding of healthcare and manufacturing operational workflows

· Ability to convert business challenges into IT solutions

Soft Skills

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· Strong negotiation and closing skills

· Relationship-building capability

· Analytical thinking & problem-solving

· Time management and follow-up discipline

Education

· Any bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)

· Background in IT, engineering, or business is an advantage
