As an Automation Senior Software Engineer QA, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java to validate the functionality of our P&C insurance software applications. You will lead the automation testing efforts, mentor junior team members, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Lead the creation and implementation of robust, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks to support continuous testing efforts.
- Define and drive the automation testing strategy, including test objectives, scope, approach, and timelines.
- Develop detailed test plans and schedules in collaboration with QA analysts, developers, and project managers.
- Oversee the execution of automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects, verify fixes, and ensure the overall quality of software releases.
- Troubleshoot test failures and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive regression test suites to ensure the stability and reliability of software applications across multiple releases.
- Continuously enhance regression test coverage and efficiency through automation and optimization.
- Verify integration points between systems, services, and third-party APIs.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects, prioritize issues, and collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and improvements.
- Mentor and coach junior team members in test automation best practices, coding standards, and tools.
- Maintain documentation related to test automation frameworks, test scripts, test data, and test results for future reference.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in test automation, software testing methodologies, and the P&C insurance domain.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 3 to 10 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Good understanding of Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance concepts, workflows, and terminology is preferred.
- Proven track record of leading and managing automation testing efforts for complex software systems.
- Expertise in Java programming language for test automation.
- Strong understanding of Selenium WebDriver for web-based application testing.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) for managing test automation codebase.
- Proficiency with build automation tools like Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with continuous integration (CI) tools like Jenkins, Bamboo.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, HP ALM, or similar.
- Strong understanding of regression testing techniques and practices to ensure software changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen diligence.
- Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode.
- Experience in providing mentorship and guidance to junior QA engineers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
