About the Role
We are hiring for an innovative, data-driven, and metrics-oriented Assistant Product Manager to own end-to-end engagement and retention goals for the Times Black & Times Card business. You will work extensively with the Tech, Operations, and Design teams to devise and implement new features, measure impact, and drive optimizations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Execution
Feature Lifecycle Management: Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch. Create detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories to guide engineering and design teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with tech, operations and design teams to implement new features and ensure timely delivery of product roadmaps.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Conduct thorough testing of new features to ensure they meet quality standards before going live.
2. Analytics & Performance Tracking
Data-Driven Insights: Seek and synthesize customer signals on the platform through qualitative and quantitative analysis with analytics team
Metric Monitoring: Monitor engagement and acquisition metrics to identify trends and drop-offs.
Dashboarding: Build and maintain product dashboards to track daily active users (DAU), retention rates, stickiness and feature adoption.
3. Growth, Acquisition & Revenue
Revenue Generation: Drive revenue goals by optimizing conversion funnels and identifying up-selling/cross-selling opportunities
Acquisition Strategy: Contribute towards acquisition by collaborating with the growth team to optimize landing pages and referral programs. Come up with ideas for product related sourcing.
Engagement & Retention: Collaborate with the engagement team to optimize engagement funnel.
4. Market & Competitor Analysis
Conduct regular benchmarking of competitor fintech products to identify gaps and opportunities for innovation.
Stay updated on industry trends to ensure the value proposition remains competitive.
5. Partner Relationship Management
Manage partner relations effectively by collaborating closely with the alliances team.
Service Maintenance: Ensure that all customer-facing services provided via these partners are maintained smoothly and function without disruption.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Experience: 0–1 years of experience in product management, preferably in a fintech company (though not mandatory).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, analytics tools and database management is highly valued for this role.
Desirable:
Collaboration & Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collectively with cross-functional teams, including tech, operations, partnerships and design to execute projects smoothly.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
