#KGSAs one of fastest growing practice in DAS, Infrastructure and Climate Advisory (ICA) team at KGS invites like-minded professionals to help us drive progress and change. At KGS ICA practice, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries to assist public and private sector organizations involved in infrastructure to deliver desired outcomes, for society and businesses. We are the Centre of Excellence for KPMG’s Global practices, helping our clients to develop better understanding of the evolving policy and regulatory environment, business and commercial risks, as well as providing commercial and strategic advice on complex infrastructure and capital projects. You will work on a wide range of infrastructure sectors including transportation, digital and social infrastructure (education, healthcare), with diverse clientage a diverse range of clientele such as public sector entities, infrastructure owners, project developers, large corporates, contractors, equity investors, and financers.The role will be based out of any of KPMG’s offices (Gurugram /Bangalore/ Mumbai) and liaise cross-functionally with leaders across the business to drive internal and external engagement.
Responsibilities
As an integral member of our ICA team, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Delivering Client Engagements
- Lead the delivery of projects, support in designing new processes and tools with an end-user focus and producing high quality outputs with attention to detail.
- Maintain and update risk registers, key risk indicators (KRIs), and remediation trackers for infrastructure portfolios, ensuring timely issue resolution.
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and incident tracking for large-scale infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to embed risk controls into planning, procurement, execution, and commissioning phases.
- Have commercial awareness, strong analytical skills and strong written, communication and presentation skills
- Understanding broader suite of services offered by the infrastructure team and identifying opportunities to collaborate and design unique solutions for our clients.
- Ensure high-quality client deliverables, effectively structuring outputs and managing the delivery process to meet client expectations
Design and automate risk dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI, Tableau etc to support decision-making across capital programs.
Qualifications
Educational qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Post Graduation in Construction Management, Project Management, Infrastructure Management or a related field from an accredited university.
- Possess relevant certifications in risk management (e.g., PMI-RMP, ISO 31000, CRMA, Enterprise risk) to ensure credibility and adherence to best practices
Prior Experience
- At least 6-8 years of experience in the infrastructure space or other relevant sectors, with a focus on risk management.
Mandatory technical & functional skills
- Experienced in defining and implementing enterprise-wide and portfolio/project-specific risk management frameworks for infrastructure and capital projects.
- Strong understanding of risk policies, governance structures, and response protocols aligned with industry standards and regulatory expectations.
- Comprehensive understanding of risk assessments, control testing, and process walkthroughs to identify gaps across project lifecycles and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Experienced in providing advisory support on risk exposure, contingency planning, and resilience strategies for capital-intensive projects.
- Fluent understanding of evolving risks related to environmental, financial, operational, and stakeholder dimensions within infrastructure development.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and in making presentations for senior level stakeholders with effective story boarding skills
Having familiarity with data analysis and data visualization and Gen AI based tools would be an advantage
