Job Purpose:

This role involves supporting the Project Manager in project planning, scheduling, and execution and ensuring alignment with milestones. The position requires effective coordination and communication with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers, alongside monitoring financials and resources for optimal project delivery. The role also encompasses quality assurance, risk management, data analysis, and reporting, as well as contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead - New Projects

Project Planning And Scheduling

Assist the Project Manager in implementing project plans and schedules.Help monitor project progress against milestones and deliverables, and assist in reporting any potential delays or issues to the Project Manager.Support the Project Manager in performing critical path analysis and managing variances to maintain project timelines.

Coordination And Communication

Coordinate with Project teams to ensure project activities are aligned with L2 schedules.Assist in communicating with vendors and suppliers as directed by the Project Manager.Help address technical queries from vendors and facilitate timely responses from the engineering teams.

Resource Management

Support Project Manager in tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to allocated budget.Support in managing the allocation of funds, manpower, and machinery for project execution.Participate in staffing processes including interviews and manpower planning.

Quality And Compliance Assurance

Support quality assurance and control activities to ensure compliance with standards and project specifications.Assist in reviewing technical specifications, MQPs, and FQPs.Help manage compliance documentation and support the Project Manager in addressing land-related issues.

Risk And Change Management

Assist in risk identification and assessment, and contribute to developing mitigation strategies.Help manage project change requests and support the Project Manager in evaluating their impact on the project.Contribute to change management processes to ensure proper documentation of project changes.

Data Analysis And Reporting

Prepare and maintain MIS reports and other project documentation.Collect and analyse project data to assist the Project Manager in reviewing progress reports, performance metrics, and budget reports.Support in preparation of status reports and presentations for the senior management.Assist in analysing deviations and support vendors in exception management as directed by the Project Manager.

Continuous Improvement And Strategic Support

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives under the Project Manager's direction to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.Stay informed about industry trends and advancements.Provide assistance for preparation of NFAs and coordinating due diligence for new projects.

Innovation, Technology Integration, And Digitalization

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in thermal power plant technologies, promoting their integration into projects to enhance efficiency and performance.Implement digitalization initiatives as part of the STRAP 2024-29 plans, ensuring that projects leverage the latest technologies and methodologies.Ensure continuous improvement and the adoption of innovative solutions within the project team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

7+ years of experience in project control management and stakeholder management.

Preferred Industry

Experience in project control within sectors such as power generation, energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects. Understanding of project management principles and control processes in these industries is preferred.
