Job Description – Assistant Manager (HR)Company: TrunkCalls TeleServices LLP Location: Chennai, India Shifts: Afternoon & Night (based on program requirements) Reporting to: Directors & Key Stakeholders Role Overview:We are looking for a proactive and dynamic Assistant Manager – HR to join our team at TrunkCalls. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth HR operations, driving recruitment excellence, enforcing discipline, and building a strong organizational culture. The ideal candidate will lead from the front, handle multiple HR functions end-to-end, and act as a direct bridge between employees, management, and clients. Key Responsibilities & Tasks:Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Conduct end-to-end recruitment including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates for various roles. Coordinate client screening rounds and ensure timely closure of open positions. Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future staffing requirements. Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Management Drive new hire onboarding and induction programs to ensure smooth integration. Maintain accurate employee records including attendance, payroll inputs, and compliance documentation. Support employee engagement activities to improve retention and morale. HR Operations & Administration Oversee payroll coordination, attendance tracking, and shift management. Handle administrative functions including facilities, workplace discipline, and employee welfare. Ensure adherence to company policies, code of conduct, and compliance requirements. Performance & Discipline Actively monitor employee performance and work discipline across shifts. Address grievances, conflicts, and escalations in a timely and professional manner. Partner with leadership to implement performance management and improvement programs. Leadership & Reporting Lead the HR function in afternoon and night shifts ensuring smooth operations. Work closely with Directors & stakeholders to provide timely HR reports, insights, and recommendations. Act as a role model by leading from the front and maintaining professionalism across all levels. Requirements:Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 4–7 years of HR experience, preferably in BPO/IT/Services industry. Strong knowledge of recruitment, payroll, attendance systems, and compliance. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills. Ability to work flexible shifts (afternoon & night). Proven ability to handle pressure, maintain discipline, and deliver results.
